About Bertrand Lejoly

Founded in 2021, Bertrand Lejoly Design Studio works with a refined approach to design, where objects are not only aesthetically balanced but also thoughtfully connected to their architectural surroundings. This sensitivity to context and proportion results in pieces that feel both timeless and contemporary.

Lejoly describes his style as “refined simplicity”—his designs balance an expressive yet subtle design language. He enjoys incorporating elements from collective memory into his creations, resulting in timeless pieces for everyday use.

Since its inception, the studio has collaborated with internationally recognized companies such as Zanotta, Paola Lenti, Fantini, Serax, Duravit, and RH. The studio has received multiple awards, including the German Design Award, Red Dot Award, IF Design Award, and Archiproducts Award.

Before starting his own studio, Bertrand Lejoly worked as Head of Product Design alongside Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen from 2013 to 2021. From 2006 to 2013, he collaborated with Matteo Thun & Partners in Milan. His first experience in product design was in Germany after graduating from École supérieure des arts Saint-Luc in Liège in 2002.

Raised in the German-speaking region of Belgium, Bertrand Lejoly was immersed in Belgian, German, and French cultures from an early age. This diverse background, combined with his distinctive professional experience, allows him to seamlessly blend influences from both northern and southern European cultures into his work.
